To Dream
Everybody has dreams of what they want to be, where they want to go, and what they want to do in life! Can these dreams come true? YES!
Walt Disney said "If you can Dream it, you can Do it!"
I encourage everyone to Dream and stay true to your dreams, too many people try and follow the dreams that other people have for them! Follow YOUR DREAMS!
Encourage kids to dream HIGH, do not use the word "CAN'T"! Believe in yourself even when others don't believe in you!
I Believe in Me!

 

To be disciplined and prepared
Thomas Jefferson once said: "I am a firm believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it!"
Stand tall and proud and always remember what you stand for. This is tough, but be true to yourself, and remember what you believe in!
Perfect practice makes perfect. Yes, for some it takes a lot more work than others, but hard work will always pay off! Maybe not today or tomorrow, but sometime down the road, it will! I promise. Hard work creates opportunities!
Never settle for second best in the perfecting of your skills. Yes, some people may be more gifted, but you should never be outworked!
My Dad has always said, "Honest effort gets Honest results!" You do not always like them, but keep working hard, you must prove yourself at every level!

To deal with adversity
You are always learning even though it might not be a conscious effort. Things happen during the course of the day that force you to make decisions and you react naturally. Life is not always the way you want it to be, but you adapt to the challenges that you face!
Ben Franklin said, "The things that hurt instruct!"
Never give up because your opportunity could be knocking the next day!
What do you remember, the Tough Times or the Good Times? The tough times will make you stronger!

To Smile
The Brady Bunch? The toy store? Singing songs? Blowing bubbles? Teaching kids new skills? Are these the things that make you HAPPY? Yes, these are things that make me most happy! The key to the Happy Bone is figuring out what makes you happy.
In Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Lumiere says "You don't have time to be timid-you must be bold darling!" Be Yourself!
The Happy Bone is different for everybody, but everybody needs these happy thoughts to keep their energy level up, and positive thoughts going! Enthusiasm is contagious, and so is SMILING!
